The Truth about Doubt!

Me Ra Koh

We had an AMAZING weekend with the San Francisco CONFIDENCE ladies.  So much to process.  I’ll be sharing some fun Behind the Scene photos later this week!  But for now, it’s time for me and Brian to reconnect with the kids.  We are headed to see Alcatraz!  Spooky! 🙂

I had to share this little dose of inspiration that I read this morning.  If doubt is creeping up around you, use this truth below to put it in it’s rightful place.

“Doubt is a signal of the creative process.  It is a signal that you are doing something right–not that you are doing something wrong or crazy or stupid.  The sickening chasm of fear that doubt triggers to yawn open beneath you is not a huge abyss into which you are going to tumble, spiraling downward like you are falling through circles of hell.  No, doubt is most often a signal you are doing something and doing it right.”

The Artist Way, Julia Cameron

May you feel empowered by your doubts today and this week!

Thanks Me Ra… I really needed this today. Woke up at 4am this morning feeling sick to my stomach and asking myself ‘who am I kidding??!!!’. Logically I know it’s part exhaustion following 10 days of crazy but it sure is easy to get sucked back in to that chasm of fear Julia Cameron describes. We had such a great time modeling for you and the great group of ladies yesterday and I can’t wait to see their results. Have fun with the kids and enjoy Alcatraz! Hugs xx

I keep thinking that I must seem quite dazed to Cameron & Chésaweh- still processing the amazing experience I had with you all this weekend. Boggles my mind that it was only two days. Seems like that much of an experience ought to have taken a lot longer!

Enjoy your well deserved rest and time with the kiddos again! Thanks for pouring yourself into us so unstintingly! 😀

Have a great time at Alcatraz!!!! Let us know how it is – DJ and Doyle have been wanting to go.

I LOVE this quote!!! I will have to commit this to memory for whenever I begin to doubt myself.

wow. doubt. i could go on for awhile about this one. the thing is to decipher if doubt has your best interests at heart. does doubt encourage? does doubt equip you? nope. it just makes you fearful and keeps you from doing what you’re thinking about doing. don’t listen to it. doubt is not your friend. word!

    WORD, JERAMY! =)

MeRa, You always know when to post the right things….. This morning I read this and thought oh I will have to save this for when I am having doubt. Then I opened my email box the doubt all came rushing in 🙁 Thank you for this post I ended up needing it sooner then I thought.

    Have fun at Alcatraz!
