Artist Living

You’re Invited to an Evening of Music and Laughs!

Me Ra Koh

Brian and I are EXTREMELY excited to host a House Concert featuring beautiful, original soul music from John Louviere!!

John is one of our dearest friends.  Brian and I have known John for almost twenty years.  He is currently in the middle of a tour, visiting 20 cities in less than 40 days.  John is by far one of the FUNNIEST people I know, and at the same time, one of the most creative and caring.  John is also an amazing storyteller, weaving image filled stories throughout his songs that come from  a place of such passion—you cannot help but feel your creative spirit being filled up.

Have you heard of an Artist Date?  In The Artist Way, Julia Cameron writes about the importance of taking yourself on weekly Artist Dates.  She challenges her readers to branch outside of their normal expression of creativity to fill themselves back up.  She encourages you to try simple ideas, to not spend over $10, but be intentional about doing something that honors and nourishes your creative spirit.

To all our friends, whether you are an aspiring or pro photographer, a writer, a painter, musician, teacher, electrician, entrepreneur or most importantly, a lover and supporter of the arts, we invite you to an enchanting evening next Friday night.  This will be an Artist Date that your creative spirit will thank you for.  When I try to think of the type of gift I want to give the people I love, I don’t necessarily think of objects or things you can buy. I find myself thinking of people that have impacted my life.  An hour or two with John Louviere is always at the top of my list.   It is a honor to bring John to the Northwest for an evening you won’t forget!

Date:  Friday, May 21st

Time:  7pm

Location:  Our Home (greater Seattle area–address will be sent upon receiving your RSVP)

What to Bring:  Bring a friend or two, your ears and hearts, what you like to sip on, or an appetizer, and the rest will be Bliss.

Cost:  Suggested $10

Doors open at 7pm.  Music starts at 7:30.

Please RSVP (info@fioria.us with FRIDAY CONCERT in the Subject line to receive our address and final numbers).

Due to space, this evening will be limited to the first 40 people who RSVP.

Read a wee excerpt from John:
“sometimes the background of an artist can give one a bit of insight into the work they create and the intention behind the art and form they use. although i find i would love to use any number of mediums, music seems to have taken me over. i grew up a very silly and animated kid; i leaned towards dance and a good joke more than anything. and as alive as that child still is, music has served as a vehicle for conveying what my eyes and heart have seen and felt … my intention and heart is first and foremost to comfort. the vehicle of music, for me, offers the easiest access to this …”

Brian and I look forward to catching up with you next Friday night and just having some wonderful FUN!

xoxo,

Me Ra
