Lots of us are in the first few weeks of kids out of school and there’s plenty to take new photos of!

What about something to do with water? This could include swimming, the beach, sprinklers, dish washing, the rain, etc etc – fun to photograph and so so summery (especially the rain…).

There are tons of things to do with water esp. in the summer and some parts of the country the weather has been real weird so its still raining…

HUSBANDS IN THEIR UNDERWEAR! Mine would win for sure – hes nothing but hot in his boxers – YUM!
I like Kristin’s – detail shots – it would force us to step outside the box and so something new – and since u just posted on it, i know everyone is itching to try detail shots –

I like the summer/water theme (HOWEVER…I”M SICK OF THE RAIN) the “American” theme and the Father’s Day theme.
My man looks good in boxers too… 😉

Hi.. i love your photocontest idea! Summer fun sounds fun!
But i also have another idea.. or a PLEASE.. can you tell me what kinda laptop is great to get for photography?? i work with cs3 and lightroom and i am just so in need of a laptop but i just don’t know which one! if you could help me it would be amazing! oh and did you ever tried out the d40? what you think??

I like the details idea. I’d save the summery ideas for a little later into summer when it’s a little hotter and people have had a wee bit more time to get into summer.

I love the idea of an ‘American’ theme since it is so close to the 4th of July and I think that there is a lot of wonderful photos that can come from this theme but I do agree with Carol that some people do not live in the US that visit this blog and would like to participate as well.
So with that being said, I am all for a ‘Fathers’ theme! How cute and wonderful those photos would turn out!

We live in the Northeast, which is having a heat wave right now, so I’ll agree with Amie in her first post. I think “Summertime Cool” would be a great theme for a contest. It would be able to take in lots of the other themes people have suggested like Father’s Day and water. Take care! Ed

Oohhhh!!!! FANTASTIC ideas!! So hard to pick!! I’m going to need Brian’s help on choosing this one. That way if you don’t like the idea we choose (it can be his fault! :)).
