No Faces, Just Shadows and Light
My jaw dropped when I saw this photo by Molly Balint of Mommy Coddle. As portrait photographers, we can so often be focused on the face and human emotion, but much emotion lives in how we hold each other…how we embrace each other…how we are still with others. I LOVE how the window light falls on their skin, and wherever there isn’t window light, there are deep, rich shadows. You can also see just a tiny bit of baby’s bald spot. That’s a wonderful defining detail that I talk about how to capture in Your Baby in Pictures because it fades away so fast. Be sure to check out Molly’s blog, Mommy Coddle. She and her family have a sheep farm, chickens and many more animals I dream of raising. So fun!
