That’s not all!  I have to share one of my favorite photo tips from my latest book, Your Family in Pictures.   This photo tip comes from photographer and workshop teacher Amy Rhodes! She’s one of my favorite women and such an incredible photographer!

Using an old advertising trick, Amy wets down the asphalt’s surface beforehand for that slight reflective glisten.  BRILLIANT!  LOVE Amy’s ideas!!

If you want to blur the background, get in closer to your kids and then also make sure their is distance between the kids and their background.  See how the bushes are softened behind the kids?  This photo takes me back!  It’s from 2009!

Does anyone remember 2008 when we were the Justice League; Batman, Joker, Poison Ivy, and Hawk Girl!  (Oh my goodness, feels like yesterday!)

Every year we’ve picked a family theme.  One year we were all characters from GI Joe.  One year it was all about Harry Potter.  And we can’t forget the Pirates year.  🙂  Brian loves Halloween the most!  He’s often in his costume by 10am.  LOL!  He also makes the costumes.  Give him a glue gun and be prepared to stand in awe!

What about you?  Be sure to share your Halloween photos on my Facebook Page!  I would LOVE to see your great Halloween photos!
