I See You!

LOVE this portrait by Sherri P. who is also from St. Louis.  Look at the beautiful catch light in this baby’s eyes!  GORGEOUS!!! Look at how mom and baby’s skin glows.  That’s the magic of window light.  Pop quiz!  Was the baby facing the window or facing away from the window for her to capture the catch light in his eyes?

If you guessed “facing the window” you are right!  That’s how Sherri was able to capture that beautiful white light in his eyes that shines back at us. I also love how Sherri got in tight for this moment.  She “filled the frame” with the baby, and yet we see just a little bit of mom.  This little bit gives us the sense of baby being held, loved and surrounded.  Wonderful, wonderful job Sherri!
