Video: Tips for Photo Coaching Your Subject (from the early days! LOL!)

Yesterday’s comments and feedback in regards to the post, A Woman’s Power During Uncertain Financial Times, were amazing. Thank you for all the beautiful things you shared from your own experiences to quotes to songs lyrics to your own fears and vulnerabilities. What a gift you each gave.

Today is a much more serious topic. 🙂

This video touches on a couple things.  Brian and I share some tips for photo coaching your subject (helping your clients relax in front of the camera), and we share an ongoing topic in our home: Why Brian thinks he could win the People magazine award for Sexiest Man Alive. Before I get myself in trouble as his wife, he is totally the SEXIEST MAN ALIVE!  And Brian’s theory on why the world would agree is interesting to say the least.

Check out the video! This is from the early days of our business but we still laugh at this same joke and photo coach our clients the same way!  LOL!

Cast your vote below by answering the question: Do you think Brian could win Sexiest Man Alive if he only had more exposure? 🙂

I loved the video up until the very last word, “retarded”. I think that you should consider editing that out, many people, including myself, find it very offensive. But otherwise, I thought that video was great! I think Brian is a shoe in!

With Brian’s sparkling personality, he can compete with Brad for the sexiest man alive add in the fact that you can take pictures as well and your a shoe in.

You guys are great and it so fun to watch you so these things together. For those attending an upcoming workshop, imagine that video for 2 days straight. You really are a little comedy routine.

Mera, Thank you so much for teh Ask and Learn session today it was so wonderful. Your answers were so helpful. I bought the Portrait 101 and wedding 101 kits at the SD workshop but have only opened the Portrait kit. So I am so excited to open teh wedding 101 kit.
Thank you again for this evening.

Brad who?!! I thought Brian was in a league all his own….doesn’t even have any competition. And if People Mag. hasn’t called yet it’s probably because they figure the world already knows that Brian is the “Sexiest Man Alive.” They don’t make the moolah printing old news. But maybe we should all request a re-run of that article and front page splash?

HAHAHA! I can’t stop laughing! Especially with the last statement. I am Filipino and my husband is Korean/Irish. Whenever we go to my family get togethers he is usually one of 2, possibly 3 Americans there. He and my cousin’s husband usually joke that the kids probably don’t know the difference between them because all white guys look the same! That’s too funny that Brian said that! 🙂

I’ll vote for Brian! Exposure is key though…you’re on your way! If that doesn’t work out…maybe you can fall back on the calvin klein underware model…don’t forget where you came from with your stardom! =) tee hee.

    October 22nd, 2008 at 12:16 pm

[…] Photo Coaching is a term Brian and I came up with when we realized we are not photojournalists. We are not the fly on the wall. Our clients look to us for direction in how to relax in front of the camera. And we love using a number of strategies to help this happen. Whether your client is paying you $200, $2K or $20K or is a high fashion model, at some point they look at you and your camera and say “Now what do you want me to do?” Photo Coaching is our answer to that question.
