Lose Yourself in Creative Time

Take after the child who loses himself in setting up trains or tea time for her stuffed animals.  How can you unplug and lose yourself in something creative?  One rule: you can’t use your phone, computer or anything else that is electronic.  We’re going old school friends. 🙂  The secret to success is a time limit.  If you know you only have 30 minutes, you’re more likely to do it.  Set the time for 30 minutes and go for a walk with your camera (create your own photo essay), journal, read the book you got for Christmas, start a painting (without expectation to finish), cook a recipe that you’ve been eyeing.  Turn the music on or off.  Open the blinds or close them.  Whatever it takes to lose yourself in your creativity.  Maybe it’s spending the weekend with us at our CONFIDENCE Photography Workshop for women.
