a living collection
When we took our first 6-week trip to Thailand, renting a home in the jungle, with no plan or agenda, I had no idea what I’d find. The number one thing…I fell in love with myself. That may sound funny, but it was so powerful. Thailand’s beauty and slow pace finally slowed me down to see myself, and I realized I missed “me” very much. I wore a two piece for the first time and didn’t feel ashamed of my imperfect body. Brian and I walked for hours everyday with our kids and never felt more connected to them. We went to bed when the jungle did after sunset, and we rose with the sunrise and songs of Gibbons.
An adventure may seem selfish and irresponsible to others, but take it from someone who has done adventures with her family for the last eight years. It’s one of the most powerful ways to love you and your family that I’ve ever experienced. Get inspired by watching our family travel show, Adventure Family. Consider taking one of our Portrait of the World Photography Workshops. We take small groups to Italy, Greece, Thailand, Egypt and beautiful destinations in the Americas.
Beautiful article, not overly complicated but things you mentioned are just as easy as turning your neck sideways…
