Next, get in the water and when you see their feet leave the diving board or edge of the pool, go underwater so you’re not holding your breath any longer than you need to. I learned this the hard way. I would go underwater and be waiting for what felt like FOREVER for the kids. They got talking to dad or a friend while MOM IS UNDERWATER WAITING! LOL! By the time the kids dropped in the water to where I was I couldn’t hold my breath any longer. 🙂
