For those of you who own your home, you know how much your credit score plays into what kind of loan and interest rate you end up with. It’s almost sickening when you realize how much these three little scores affect your life. Brian and I have been working hard at improving our credit scores. And we’re so fortunate b/c one of our closest friends, Zane Ferry, has also been our loan officer for years. His daughter was the Easter bunny hit! 😉
So a couple months ago, Zane came across this new tool where you can pay $30, and it will run a report telling you what exact amount to pay on a specific credit card and how many points it will raise your score! To good to be true, huh! He tried it first and has been keeping Brian and I updated. So far every thing they advise has worked even better than what they predicted. So last night we had him run the program for us, and I about fell over when we got the results!
I had been thinking about paying a large amount on one of our credit cards to get the balance down, but the report said that if I only paid $462 down on a different card it would boost one of my credit scores 37 points! What do I have to lose but try! 🙂 I’ll keep you updated on what happens!
What does this have to do with photography? Every thing! If you get to the point where you want to apply for a SBA or line of credit for your business, the first thing they look at is your credit scores. So having your scores as high as possible (710 or higher) can save you a lot of money! Brian and I are wanting to invest more in the real estate arena, so we’ve already hired ecreditattorney, but this little tool Zane found is so GREAT! I’m smiling ear to ear this morning!

Thats so cool!! You never know what those “secret formulas” are the credit world uses, so now the code is cracked! Thats amazing that one strategic move can make a 37 point difference!

I’m so glad this is helpful! Someone emailed some great questions, so I thought I’d add them here if it helps at all!
1. Is ecreditattorney the same tool as what Zane found?
No, it’s actually two different things we’re using.
2. What is ecredityattorney? They’re a company that takes your credit report and sends letters on your behalf to have things removed. What they’re doing is pretty is something we could do…if we had the time! I dont’ have the time to write lawyer souding letters to the three credit bureaus. So it’s great to have ecreditattorney doing it for us. They’ve already been able to get a couple things deleted off our reports in just a month! It does cost $30 a month per person, but for us it’s going to save us money in the end.
3. The tool Zane has is totally different and only costs $30 one time. Why I wait for ecredit attorney to work on the letters and arguing things on our credit report, I was able to find out if there is a certain dollar amount I can pay to a specific card to help my credit report. Don’t you feel like you want to pay something down, but you want to get the biggest bang for your buck. That’s totally what this tool helps you do! It’s seriously amazing!

Great post and I’ll definitely be looking into it. I’ve been working at increasing my credit score for the past year with some success but writing all those letters takes so much time! Being able to outsource it would be AWESOME! Thanks Me Ra!
