a living collection
It’s almost impossible to avoid information overload when you visit the Louvre Museum. But you can take time to process as a family. We would often walk into a big room with paintings on every wall. Each of us would choose a painting that stuck out to us, and we’d listen to the backstory on that specific artwork. Then we’d gather back together and share what we learned. Each of us go to be the teacher for a few minutes. Having a Masters in Teaching, I’ve seen countless times how powerful it is when students can process out loud what they’ve learned to absorb the information that much more. (This works for all ages, no matter how young or old.)
