2008 City Tour Update and Whose in Georgia?

Me Ra Koh

Brian and I are working on the details for more workshops in more cities in 2008!

I know many of you have been wanting an update. Here is where things are at as of today!

A Photography Workshop in the Wine Country outside of San Francisco is shaping up for the end of April 2008.

I can’t wait to share the details on this amazing weekend! We’re confirming a bunch of fun details this week. Registration may open early next week! (Fingers crossed–start spreading the word!)

We are also looking at October 2008 for holding a workshop in the BIG STATE of TEXAS! 🙂 Trying to decide on location still. We’ll keep you updated!

And the big question for you women in the south: are there really 45 women who want a workshop in Georgia! This is the card that took Brian and I by surprise! Let us know you’re out there, and what city you would suggest, and what time of year.

FYI, if you emailed us offering to be a workshop hostess for your city, you may be getting a call from me in the next week.

Cities and states that we are still planning to tackle with more details and research are; Arizona, Cape Cod/Boston area, NY, Indiana and maybe Tokyo!

2008 is going to be such an adventure! We can’t wait to meet many of you in person!

And later today, I’m going to repost my Tips for Parents on taking the family Christmas Picture. This was a post I did last year that so many of you loved, so I’ll brush it up and put it back up today! Check back after 3:30pm today!

Much love! Me Ra

  2. Amanda D says:

YEA for TEXAS!!! woohoo…come to Houston or Austin 😉

  3. Me Ra says:

How fun Sharon!! We’re looking at a couple sweet locations in Glen Ellen/Sonoma area. Ohhh, I can’t wait to announce the surprises with this one!!!

Yeah for Texas in so many ways!! Now to decide between Austin, Dallas and Houston! 🙂

  4. Betsy says:

oh my goodness Napa is on my dream vacay wish list with my husband! Hmmmmm, i wonder if we could figure out a way to get out there…..That would be AMAZING.

I’m still voting for Indy though!

BTW, I would LOVE some tips on photographing Christmas trees I’m shooting a family next week that will want a photo by the tree and i’m cringing inside not really knowing how to pull that off.

  5. Beth says:

Yeah!! I love that you might still be considering Tokyo! I only voted once on the poll, so it’s nice to others selected it as well! 🙂 Even if a workshop doesn’t work out, I’m happy to be a free tour guide to anyone interested in visiting!

Keep up your amazing work and thanks for all you do to inspire other people.

    *Merry Christmas*

  6. Come down to Georgia, y’all!

We’ve got lots of fun photographer-gals who would love to learn from you!

Plus, we’ve got tasty sweet tea and soul food 🙂

    Rachel

  7. Amanda says:

    Yea Texas! (Houston) 🙂

  8. I live in Wine Country, let me know if you need any help/ resources for that one! 🙂

  9. Chris says:

It’d be so awesome if you brought an advanced set of days (or even just a day) to the Bay Area workshop in addition to the beginner workshop!

  10. Chris young says:

Another Georgia gal here!!! I would recommend Atlanta or Macon as far as location, the later is more centrally located in the state but of course the ATL is a booming city that has many elements to offer. March-June is wonderful. Macon especially has the Cherry trees all over the city and they are gorgeous when they are in full bloom in March. July-Sept can be rough with the mixture of humidity and heat so perhaps wait until late September to December to come down. It’s just now starting to get cold but this weekend we’ll be back in 70 degrees. I hate to think that it might be a full year before you get here but you’re definitely worth the wait.
Give me a buzz if you want more specifics, I would be glad to scout some areas for you to consider.

I am in SC — such a short drive to GA!!! Especially if you come to Atlanta, which feels great in the late fall/early winter!

  12. Brandi says:

I am in Charlotte so I would totally come to a Georgia workshop especially if it is in Atlanta! That is only a 4 1/2 hour drive for me!

  13. Denise says:

I just wanted to let you guys know that I am TOTALLY still here if you need an AZ hostess! I know you both must be overwhelmed with planning and all the little details – but that’s awesome that it’s all coming together!

  14. I’m still holding my breath for Oregon! Looks like a wonderful tour so far…I’m thrilled to host if you need me.

  15. patti says:

I am in SC and would LOVE LOVE LOVE if you came to GA!!!! How awesome that would be. I agree that late September would be beautiful- summertime is beautiful but it does get a bit sticky here. We have beautiful live oaks, and gorgeous, gorgeous places. Come on down south, y’all!!!

  16. jennifer says:

Well, I’m praying for a way to make it to the San Diego workshop. I’m a big fan of you and Carey with Barefoot Memories! However, if that doesn’t work out for me I could so drive to Georgia. I live in Florida and Atlanta is about 6 1/2 hours away from me. Looks like us southern girls are in need of some MeRa 🙂

  17. Hey there.

Please come to the south! 🙂

    Thank you,
    Susie
