Behind the Scenes at the Washington DC CONFIDENCE Photography Wkshp!

We had our Washington DC CONFIDENCE Photography Wkshp this last weekend. It was awesome! All twenty women showed up with a hunger to improve their photography skills, and it was a honor to work with them. Before the workshop even started these women were encouraging each other via emails. I can’t wait to see what comes out of them because of the supportive circle they have already formed.

Brian and I are still in DC with the kids for one more day visiting the Smithsonian. But we wanted to post some quick Behind the Scenes images from the CONFIDENCE Wkshp!

Blaze and Pascaline jumped in on prepping for the workshop. The night before the workshop started, they set up all the tots for the women. They completely took charge of stuffing the tots with goodies. I was super proud of them. I love that we homeschool them so they can experience being a part of all this. (To the DC women, thank you so much for the card you gave Pascaline and Blaze! They were totally surprised and loved it! It was so thoughtful of all of you.)

(and because I know the DC women want to know…the Photo Recipe is…an ISO at 3200, Aperture 2.8 and Shutter Speed was 1/30th (or 30) of a second.)

The Meet and Greet on Friday night was at the Firefly restaurant that is connected to the Hotel Madera. I think 98% of the group showed up! It was amazing! Some of the women jumped right in, and we started teaching on different ways to capture night shots.

There are MORE Behind the Scenes shots to come tomorrow! But for now, we are headed back to the Smithsonian!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the ladies who attended!

Brian and I are so proud of the many shifts that happened in your photography, your outlook on life, your creativity and especially your CONFIDENCE. When the workshop ended Sunday night, Brian and I went and had a two hour dinner, processing the weekend together. Words cannot express how honored we feel to be a part of your lives. Just remember 3 1/2 seconds is all you need to ensure ultimate success! 🙂

Love you all! Me Ra and Brian

I am so happy to see that picture of all of us with our cameras. 😀 I’ve already called one of my neighbors to ask if I can do a shoot with her & her 1-y-o. And I’m the one who said I didn’t care to take pictures of kids!

Just a few days ago I was a lady who owned a camera. Now I’ve got a new attitude (and new skills… and confidence!).

Love that Pascaline & Blaze were stuffing the Christmas bags (yep, getting the bag was just like a Christmas present!). Great to see the excitement in all these women. Yay!

Look at how sweet your children are! I’ve started to take my family with me on sessions. Since the kids are a little bit older now, they don’t try and cling to me. Dad or a baby sitter comes with, then we reconnect at the end. They can go places I go, it got kind of fun this summer. My friend who modeled for you (Erin & Gus) said Me Ra was ‘so sweet’ and Brian ‘hilarious!’ I was honored that she could meet you both. xoxo Pam

Awesome workshop, worth every penny and a million more! I can’t believe how much I learned in 2 days and how eye opening the workshop was to the questions that I’ve been asking myself about where to take my business. Thank you so much Mera and Brian for challenging us so much both in photography and in our thoughts and hearts. I laughed, cried, laughed, cried some more 🙂 It was wonderful, so much better than I ever dreamed. And a special note to brian, thanks for our talk, I feel like I see the light ahead, I’m so excited about “putting on my glasses”! Love you both, Jennifer
