If you notice the time stamp on this blog posting, we are doing it a few hours earlier than we said we would. I hope you’ll forgive us for this because Brian has been throwing up and running a fever most the weekend, and we are exhausted! But, we wanted to make sure this went live for the morning because we’ve been getting your emails all weekend and love how excited you are! We thought it made the most sense to post it now instead of risking us missing the alarm clock.

I just signed up for the Chicago Workshop and am SO STOKED! I’ve been counting down since the registration dates were announced. HOWEVER… I entered the coupon code in the WRONG PLACE and didn’t get the special price! ๐ Please tell me this can be fixed? Sorry to hear Brian is not feeling well. It went through our house (adults only) a couple of weeks ago… no fun.
I’m coming to Chi town. Yeah. Checked the blog EARLY… thank goodness! Looking forward to meeting both you and Brian… and the other 21 ladies who are lucky enough to get spots. I couldn’t sleep last night… anxious about registration opening!
I am DEFINITELY registering this week… I hope the spots don’t sell out before Friday because I will go insane. Hurry up, stimulus check!! It’s due to arrive this week, then I can register. ๐ (If it’s not here on Thursday, then I’m register with our “for emergencies only” credit card, oops. Heehee.)

Hi Me Rah and Brian, I was very sad to hear that Brian was not feeling well this weekend but it did make my day when I woke up and found out early. I was going to have to have others complete the registration process for me and wasn’t ultra confident, my mom is not very computer savy. I am so beyond excited and can’t wait to meet everyone! Me Rah, my mom paid for this for me as a Christmas gift but I’m the one attending so I hope everything went through correctly. It was her credit card and billing address but everything else had my information.
I am totally excited to meet everyone. I would love information about hotels if you have any. I live in the Chicagoland area but will probably stay in a hotel if I can get an overnight babysitter.
Is it November yet????

Kelli-Great list of hotels. I am talking to several of them for possible deals! The Congress is across the street and the South Hilton is also just down the street from the Fine Arts Building. IS IT NOVEMBER YET? How will we all survive the wait until that day?

Yikes Lauren, are the hotel prices that bad??? I live in Chicagoland but was still planning on getting a hotel as I don’t live ultra-close to the city. I am not familiar with the city at all and will have to start looking for hotels also driving in the city terrifies me. I’m thinking a limo is sounding good or at least the train downtown. I can’t wait until November so I can meet all of you!!!!

I am looking at staying in the city. I live north of downtown in Northbrook and between gas, getting up early to catch the train, along with parking, it could be costly. I have to get down there a bit early so I can get the office opened up and ready each day since the workshop is happening at my office space. Sharing rooms will cut the cost. Kristin, the location is not hard to get to at all. I was like you and was not happy when we opened an office downtown. I am talking to a couple hotels nearby to see about getting a discounted rate for the event. The Hilton Chicago is just down the street.
Gretchen, Thank you so much. I’m still thinking a train or Limo sounds good though. I live southwest of the City in Minooka, near Joliet. I am very open to sharing rooms if anyone is interested. Ever since I first learned about these workshops I have dreamed of attending one but I knew I could never attend out of state so when the poll was posted I think I called everyone I knew to vote for Chicago. I am so excited to meet everyone.

I know, I know, I just got back from the San Diego workshop, but am seriously considering heading out to Chicago as well. (That is, unless you’d ever consider an NYC or Boston workshop… hmmm? I just might be able to help drum up the hype – even more than I have probably already have!)

Nuts! My brother just informed us a month ago that he plans to move into our guest room for a year to save up some money. ๐
I can offer, if people find a hotel in the Lincoln Park area (Belden Stratford is one that comes to mind, though I’ve never stayed in a Chicago hotel to be able to provide guidance on what’s good), to give a few people rides downtown (only about 3 miles, but sometimes being a little further from the center helps!). Don’t know if that does much, but thought I would throw it out there. ๐
