Still a Place of Wonder

Me Ra Koh

Today is Christmas Eve day. It’s hard to believe it is here. Before we join in our own family festivities, I wanted to take a moment and connect with all of you.

You’ve been on my heart these last few days. As I have been searching for ways to rest and replenish, I have been finding an unexpected freedom in the knowledge that the place of “rest and replenish”, the place of wonder, is not impatient for me to arrive. There is no woman looming over me with hands on hips and a tapping foot, wondering why I’m not arriving to this place of rest faster…whatever “arriving” might mean.

Even if you haven’t found a quiet moment to yourself as of yet,

even if you have had your hands full with unending to do lists or your heart has been heavy with sadness,

even if the chaos of travel and shopping has seemed to rob every moment of peace you had planned on enjoying,

there is still a place of wonder that will wait for you and me. The part on my heart to share most is that this place of wonder, different for all of us, will wait. It is the one place we don’t have to rush to. It is the only place I’m never late to.

It is the place of wonder that refreshes you and washes you. Don’t let guilt or regret rob another minute of your peace of mind.

Let your next two days unfold. Give all that you have and desire to give to those you love. And then, when all is quiet, and your heart is still, venture to your place of wonder where life is renewed, innocence is reborn, creativity is fed and hope is restored.

And remember, you are not alone on this journey.

Brian, myself, Pascaline and Blaze wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

xoxoxo, Me Ra
