It all started with a cryptic email from Sony…
Sony was working on a new camera that no one knew about. The name of the camera wasn’t ever in their emails. But their request was that four of us (Sony Artisans of Imagery) would take it into the field and test it. This was a huge honor and crazy intense.
We had two weeks to shoot as much as possible around the US and have images to share with Sony and the press in NYC at Photo Plus Expo at the end of that two weeks.
The other three Artisans are also some of my heroes in photography; Brooke Shaden, Chris Burkhard and Brian Smith
As a result of this amazing experience, I’m able to share a first look photo shoot with the Sony a7RIII for weddings and portraits. Most of all, I can say with 100% confidence that after shooting with this camera in all types of scenarios, the Sony a7RIII is the BEST camera for pro photographers. It’s the camera we’ve been waiting for. Let me show you what I mean…
Samples from Photo Shoot with the Sony a7RIII for Weddings and Portraits
Our video gives you a first look photo shoot with the Sony a7RIII for weddings and portraits. I was testing it for specific things. Did the continuous shooting mode stall and need to buffer like the Sony a7RII often does? When I heard this camera could shoot 10FPS (frames per second) at 42megapixels in RAW and NOT stall, I had to see it to believe it! What did you think of that part in the video? When the bride was spinning and spinning, and I was shooting at 10FPS with NO STALLING! Mind blowing, AWE-mazing!!!
