Before I tell you about this new contest, I want you to know that I had a phone conference with the Nielsen team who is figuring out the winners for the Gatherings Photo Contest.  They know you are all eager to hear the winners, and they are going to let me know soon!  Just want you to know I’m keeping tabs on it and eager to hear too!  As soon as I know, YOU will know!  Promise!

A new photo contest has started!  This is a SONY sponsored photo contest that the Artisans of Imagery have been asked to participate in for the upcoming photo exhibit in New York this Fall.  The theme: 2012 Election.  I’ll be creating photos with babies and children around the election theme which feels both challenging AND exciting.  Want to join me!

There is a wide range of what type of photo you can submit.  You don’t have to enter a photo of babies or kids.  You can enter a photo of cars if you want!  Like this one by fellow SONY Artisan, Brian Smith!

I’ve been mulling the theme over in my head, jotting ideas down, and am excited to take a handful of kids on a little photo adventure this summer.  I’ll keep you visually posted as I shoot!  In fact, I’m really going to take advantage of the 4th of July!  😉

This year, Americans will once again be asked to decide who will lead our country for the next four years. With campaigns stretching from the largest cities to the smallest towns, Americans will come out in droves to take part in it and have their voice heard.
