A snow recipe exercise… a day late (as we went sledding yesterday)… but I’ll totally put it in my back pocket for the next trip up to the mountains. I tried so hard yesterday… changing my settings all around… staying out of the green box…. trying to challenge myself… hahaha… I’ll totally keep practicing. 🙂

Your photos of ski school… I totally felt like I was right there watching the kids. Beautiful. It’s always so special to go back and look at photos from past years.

Here is the link to our snow day yesterday:

Thanks for sharing the tips for snow pictures! 🙂

I have had trouble with portrait photos in the snow being too dark. So just yesterday I did an experiment to get better shots, and it worked! I wrote a blog post describing in detail what I did here:

I found that on cloudy days I need to overexpose the shot, at least according to my camera’s light meter. On days when I don’t have that bright blue sky in the background I can still see the smiles on my kids’ faces!

Thanks for the snow recipe exercise. It sure will come in handy here with the snow we get in OHIO. I can’t wait until we get enough to actually play in, only if it is my day off of work 😉 Thanks Me Ra for the wonderful tips!
