Wedding details are just yummy to look at! My cousin, Gina Sook, is the master at details! Not only was she the most beautiful bride,
but her wedding was full of elegant farm wedding details! Brian and I weren’t the wedding photographers for her wedding, but like I said on Facebook “old habits die hard”! There was no way this wedding was going down without us taking a “few” photos! LOL!
This was the setting! Luke, Gina’s hubby, was raised on this property. Dreamy, right?!
Our family came from all across the country to help set up and celebrate this special occasion! The setting up the day before was the BEST! From this little pumpkin, the youngest family member
to those of us who haven’t seen each other in years! Working together, catching up with cousins, aunts, and uncles. I soaked it in!
Gina thought of EVERY thing possible for her elegant farm wedding details!
Instead of a guest book, her friends helped create three rows of name cards.
You find your name, the table you are sitting at,
and then you replace your name card with a Polaroid of you!
Her new hubby is AWE-mazing with creating anything Gina dreams up! He took an old farm door and made it into the whiskey table! Check out that stuffed coyote underneath!
And don’t miss the cigar ashtray of a bear’s foot that his dad shot years ago.
Gina also canned 150 jars of homeade jam as a gift to every guest!
And little L&G (Luke and Gina) name tags. DARLING!
Here is the whole section of name cards and jars of jam with the quintessential cowboy and dog! (What is an elegant farm wedding without a man wearing a cowboy hat and boots?!)
Luke built a few of these signs from scratch!
He also built THIS bar out of discarded wood pallets!
Flowers…BEAUTIFUL!
But the bride? My baby cousin? She was GORGEOUS!!!
I didn’t want to be in the photographer’s way, and the smaller camera body on the Sony a7R helps with that! I shot with my favorite, workhorse lens, the Sony 24-70mm, f/2.8 ZA. Look at how GORGEOUS the color is with this camera! L-O-V-E! My family especially loved the WiFi feature because I was able to shoot, upload and share photos instantly with them!
Here’s a handful of more favorites! (Gina and Luke, these are for you to enjoy while you both honeymoon!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!)
Getting ready with her beautiful mama.
Mother of the groom is just a beautiful gem that shines inside and out! Luke and his mama.
I used to always love staying back with the bride and father-of-the-bride because that is when the energy and excitement is at it’s peak! (my sweet cousin and her dad–most amazing uncle ever!)
My favorite moment of the ceremony! Love her expression, and the darling flower girl!!!
Brian’s favorite moment, when they gave each other a high-five after they said their vows.
We can’t forget the adorable ring bearer! One of our youngest family members!
The bridal party!
My favorite photo of these two with their friends! (I promise. I was trying to stay out of the photographer’s way. Just had to sneak one in here and there. Like this ONE! ADORABLE! :))
His spontaneous dance for her.
Her utter joy.
Just the two of them.
Just her. Take your breath away.
If I had to pick one…
Or two…
Can I pick three? I have to pick three…
Low light at reception? No problem with sensor in #Sonya7R!
Fun first dance. 🙂
And the COUSINS!!!!! Love you guys!!!! So excited we have more cousin weddings around the corner!
Congratulations to Luke and Gina! Your wedding was just breath taking! Brian and I LOVE you both! And we absolutely LOVED being guests and getting “a few” wedding photos for you both! Best of both worlds, shoot our favorite moments and then dance all night long with you! 🙂 LOVE YOU!!!!
Be on the lookout for their talented wedding photographer, Seattle’s Matthew Sumi, to share their wedding photos! He has a really great style, fashion background, and I LOVE how this plays into his work. This is one of my faves from the engagement photos he did! (Thanks for letting me tag along Matt!)
xoxoxo,
m

MeRa, the pictures are beautiful! You captured the mood and the atmosphere perfectly. The late afternoon with golden sunlight slanting across fields is my favorite time of day and you captured that perfectly too.
