This is baby Ruby. She has stolen the heart of Colorado.
The day after Auntie Brittany and Uncle Greer’s beautiful wedding, Brian and I were given the honor of going to Ruby’s house and spending a few quiet hours documenting the utter beauty of her strong, little spirit.
I couldn’t take enough shots of how Ruby naturally tucked herself into dad. Made me want to cry.
And I still can’t believe that last July, I was taking photos of Rob and Shannon that looked like this.
Now they look like this. Don’t they glow with parenthood?
I especially love these two next to each other.

And just when you think a woman cannot be any more beautiful than she is on her wedding day…
You see her as a mom, and I can’t help but cry at the transformation of beauty. The softness, the nurturer, the tenderness, the mother’s heart, it all pours out of Shannon effortlessly. Shannon you were created for this. You leave me speechless.
Two more to share. It’s so hard to pick the last two blog photos from a 100 plus, but here we go…
Can’t forget the toes.

Congratulations to the Shannon and Rob! What a wonderful post. I love the images as well as the story! Motherhood is such a major transformation and this captures the beginning so well. Love the one with Grandpa too…ahhh…tearing up at in the 5 a.m. hour isn’t such a bad way to start your day 🙂

I can smell Ruby’s sweetness, just by looking at the photos. She is truly a peach…you can’t help but want to smooch her little head. She’s strong, she’s smart and she’s obviously beautiful. She has good genes and an extra bonus ladies…some really strong women in her family tree! Look at these people, the softness you see is real and Me Ra captured it! Her Daddy is intoxicated by her and hellooooo Gpa Jim SOFTY!! haha Shan and Rob yum! So what if Ruby grows up and thinks I’m wild. I think she’s my pony girl and she’s a gem! ummm wait where is the behind the scenes story on her Royal Sweetness???

Thanks you guys! Isn’t Ruby something you want to just eat up?! I never understood why my mom was always saying she wanted to “eat us up”, as a mom now, I totally get it! 🙂
