I’m so excited for you to see this wedding slideshow! I usually don’t put the Rehearsal Dinner in the slideshow, but this was such a fun group of people. They all had a blast at the Rehearsal Dinner, and from what Brian and I understand, they started celebrating the night before. When a large group of people flies in from all over the country to celebrate two people with such adoration, wow, you can’t help but love shooting the event.
Thus, you get to see a little bit of the Rehearsal Dinner in Catherine and Trevor’s Slideshow.
But before you watch the slideshow, I want to share some of my favorite photos with you.
Just before the ceremony, I had Catherine sit on this ottoman. The ladies got ready downstairs in the Women’s Locker Room at the Sanctuary. There weren’t any windows or available light. Lockers were everywhere. Keep in mind, it was a beautiful locker room! But I wanted to capture Catherine in the setting without the setting taking over the image. Does that make sense?
I decided to have Catherine sit and look up at the light to illuminate her face and dress. Because I metered on Catherine, the lockers went dark in the background. I was so excited with what happened. She glows. Isn’t she beautiful!
Light was the theme of the day b/c at times we would have light, then we would lose it and have a down pour of rain instead. But when the sunset started, I ran to Catherine and Trevor. They were such great sports b/c I swear they had barely sat down to finally eat. I’m sure my body language yelled, “Stop! Don’t EAT. We have to go back outside!!!” We couldn’t let this sunset lighting get away from us!
Brian’s perspective.
And mine.
The light was golden, and then the stormy clouds decided to have their say in things. This photo has to be one of my FAVORITE from our whole year! I love how dark every thing was getting around them, how moody the sky was, but the sun is still illuminating them as it sets.
The groomsmen were a blast to work with. They were up for just about anything. The slideshow has some fun shots of them too, but this is one of my favorite.
And last but not least, a classic Brian shot. Tight frame drawing out the intimacy between these two. I know I say this all the time, but I am saying it again, “I love Brian’s eye!” Brian captured the second shot as well.
Catherine and Trevor, we are so happy for you! Thank you for allowing us the honor of capturing your day. Your family and friends were wonderful to work with. And you two, you two were amazing!
Much love to you both!
xoxo, Me Ra

Hey MeRa,
Wow, another amazing wedding!! What a gorgeous couple… they just look so happy together!! Congratulations to Catherine and Trevor!!!
I hope it is ok to post another few questions for your Q & A’s here Me Ra. Don’t mean to hi-jack the topic here or detract from this gorgeous wedding post!! Here are a few more questions…. For a relative beginner, would you say it is more important to use their $ to get better gear or should they invest it in training or maybe a little of both? I know some people believe the right gear makes all the difference and some that say a good photographer can use any gear. What do you think? Is the gear more important or the skill and technique?
Also, I was curious about how much post processing you do. Are most of your shots SOOC or do you tweak them at all? I am still at the point where I am doing some correcting and enhancing in photoshop. I know there are pretty strong views out there about using software to fix photos that aren’t quite right SOOC. What is your stance?
Thanks again for taking the time to answer all of our questions. You have no idea how valuable your expertise is to us!!!
And congratulations again to this beautiful couple!!
Catherine and Trevor-absolutely stunning! I can totally feel the emotion of the day through MeRa and Brian’s images. I hope you have a long and happy future together!

Me Ra & Brian,
Wow! What lovely couple and amazing shots. My little daughter Hope (3 yrs old) sat in my lap to watched the slideshow and kept saying Catherine was a princess. Ahhhh!!!
Congrats to Catherine & Trevor on their new life together!!! Remember that love is an action….act on it everyday of your lives together.
Looking forward to seeing which soul wins the Chicago trip. There were some heartbreaking stories; I do not envy you on picking just one. What a wonderful blessing for the one running on empty your gift will be. I really admire you two for your hearts.
Have an outstanding day!!!
Sara
BEAUTIFUL JOB MeRa and Brian! I know all of us who read your blog are always in anticipation of seeing the amazing photos/memories you capture! Can’t wait for wedding slideshow from Cape Cod π
Congratulations to Catherine and Trevor…you two are a gorgeous couple.
Wow, you guys really outdid yourselves! Phenominal. (did I spell that right?) Love your slide shows, they are my fave. π
I’m a little weepy after watching this. There’s so much LOVE emanating from every single photo. It makes me want to get married all over again – to my same beloved husband, of course! π
Congratulations to the happy couple: may you be forever kind and true.
Exceptional setting, beauty, lighting and couple! All gorgeously displayed – I love how the timing of the song showed Catherine & Mom right at “can you imagine… how much I love you”! Couldn’t be better than that! How lucky can a girl be than to be able to watch these and be paid to do it! (double grins :))
Congratulations to Catherine & Trevor – may you be blessed with such beauty and grace throughout your lives together. What a great send off!
Amazing, as always. Congratulations to Catherine and Trevor!!!
Love the music choice on the slideshow. I always stress about music. I am a huge Michael Buble fan and of Big Band/Swing and I am always afraid to use it. But you have just given me permission. LOL
Lovely work, a total inspiration.
I cant decide which one I like best – the first one is so beautiful. What a perfect portrait of a bride – I also love Brian’s sunset shot. It’s like the warmth and the glow makes them look even more in love. Very beautiful images!!!
Wow. What gorgeous photos of a gorgeous couple.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I always leave your blog feeling happy and inspired! π
