Photo Shoots

Remember the Photo Shoot at the Getty Museum?

Me Ra Koh

I never showed the photos to you!!

Meet Marian and Greg: two of the cutest people ever!

What do I mean by cute? Greg decided to try and make Marian burst out in laughter–his solution: burst out in laughter like she’d never seen!

He kicked up his legs and every thing!

I think Marian and I both almost wet our pants b/c of how hilarious Greg was!

Ahhhh, didn’t I tell you? They are super cute!

We also did a photo shoot at the beach in Santa Monica with all of Marian’s friends who came from Korea just for the wedding. Remember this shot?

Her friends were so sweet, and each one was thrilled for Marian’s wedding day. It was a total pleasure to work with them.

Marian’s friend to the right of her (in the shot below) is a designer in NY for Oscar de Le Renta. Can you believe that she and her sister asked Marian to pick whatever wedding dress she liked in any magazine, and then they sewed it for her. Oh my goodness, wait till you see the dress. It’s breath taking!

And this shot of Brian just kills me. He’s very comfortable around beautiful Korean women. 😉

But Marian…Marian is the icing on the cake!

Whenever she emails me, she addresses me as “Uni” which means big sister in Korean. Even though I’m only half Korean, I LOVED working this wedding and being a part of every detail from the intense emotion

to the beautiful tradition and culture I’ve grown up with. (and don’t tell anyone but I had to help her mom tie the Hanbok. :))

Marian and Greg, we absolutely adore you two and all the little things that make you who you are. Thank you for inviting us to document your story. Yours, Me Ra and Brian

Now are you ready to see Marian and Greg’s Wedding Day Slideshow too??!!

Yep, it’s LIVE!!!

  10. I hate to sound repetitive but…AWESOME!!! I think Lauren and I gotta talk about paying for another shoot with you guys!

Not only are the images amazing but you (and Brian) have this amazing ability of connecting with the bride & groom and it’s so apparent especially in these images. You guys are great and continue to inspire us both.

btw – just curious, have you ever considered doing a shoot of just you two…but not actually working?!! How fun would that be?!! We know this perfect spot in Santa Monica!! hehehe =)

  11. Greg says:

MeRa and Brian are the best! It was so much fun working with them, and I’m just a regular guy who didn’t get to make any wedding decisions like most grooms. Buy MeRa noona’s books!!

  12. sharon says:

  14. Addie says:

Class, grace, and humor….the perfect mix! And whoever chose the music added the icing on the cake. There is an Audrey Hepburn-like grace in the images of Marian. And Greg easily compliments and becomes the strong leading man. Who else could bring those qualities to light better than MeRa and Brian?!! Thanks so much for sharing the stories. It is always a pleasure to take a “MeRa Blog Break” and escape my daily grind for a couple of minutes.

  15. Me Ra says:

Wow everyone, thanks so much for the feedback!

I’m so sorry for the late comment! Can you believe it’s Sunday, and I’m finally getting to read all your comments? My little brother and sister in law came in to town on Thursday, and I have been soaking their presence in.

You totally bless Brian and I, and I’m sure you give a hundred times more to Marian and Greg as they read all your comments!

They were the cutest couple to work with! So many laughs together!

And John, are you offering to do a photo shoot of me and Brian?!! Wouldn’t that be fun!!

  16. Me Ra says:

Oh Marian, we forgot to tell everyone how Natalie Cole was celebrating her birthday in the room right inside from where we were taking your photos! Wasn’t that the coolest coincidence with your what your song was! She was so sweet about your wedding too! It was a pretty special day.

  17. ZestyJenny says:

Those pictures were stunning. Thank you for sharing them with us. 🙂

  18. Marian says:

Thank you, EVERYONE, for your wonderful comments! I remember the countless times I used to come here to drool over other brides’ pictures… and I can’t believe now I have my own!!!! I feel like a celebrity!

Yes! The Natalie Cole coincidence was awesome!

BTW, it was not my friend, but her sister Laura, who sent me the dress. Laura couldn’t come to the wedding because the New York fasion show was going on at the time. The one in the picture with me is her sister, Jungsook. She is an equally successful interior designer who designs places like Tom Ford and Gucci stores! Jungsook and I have been friends since the second grade – all three of us lived together in NYC when we first moved there. I remember visiting Laura in her first grade class when Jungsook and I were the BIG sixth graders! I made her promise me to make my wedding dress when she was a freshman in fashion design school. Thanks to her talent and success, I got an Oscar de la Renta dress!!!

Do you know if Marian attended Seoul International School; I think I might know her.

  21. Agnes says:

You are so right. They are SERIOUSLY CUTE! What were they doing there on the dance floor? Was that a dance routine? How fun!
And the photographs are just fantastic!
