From a child’s daily activities to those time-marking back to school pictures, great images always capture the spirit of the moment, the story and the subject. And, celebrated lifestyle photographer Me Ra Koh knows how to get them all, and so can you. At this special event, she will reveal her methods for documenting a child’s story through photography… without ever making them “Say Cheese.”

Me Ra will share the lessons she’s learned as a “mommie” photographer capturing the wonderful faces of children, both hers and countless others. She will also share the secrets of storytelling photography, and demystify all those scary camera terms by converting them into everyday words that anyone can understand and learn from. With some fun exercises and dynamic examples, Me Ra will invite you to spend a little time with her and be quickly rewarded with an entirely new level of creativity and perspective on both the activity, and the business, of photographing kids.

Me Ra Koh has experienced three lives – thus far. First, as the best-selling author of Beauty Restored: Finding Life and Hope After Date Rape, then as a loving wife and mommy to Blaze and Pascaline, and now as a celebrated lifestyle photographer, featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show and VH1’s Fabulous Weddings.

Me Ra is a sought-after guest on national television, podcasts and blogs for her depth of knowledge and insight, as well as for her authenticity, unique charisma and dedication to empowering women through photography. As one of SONY’s Artisans of Imagery, she was most recently featured on The Balancing Act (Lifetime). And you can now see Me Ra on NBC’s, The Nate Berkus Show, as a regular contributor sharing her photo tips and enthusiasm with millions of viewers!
