Photo Recap of WPPI 2012! Thanks to YOU and SONY!

Me Ra Koh

Last week was an insane ride of reconnecting with old friends, meeting tons of new friends and inspiring each other to go for our dreams!  Brian and I started in Vegas last Sunday for the WPPI  Conference, where tens of thousands of photographers come from all over the world!  And seriously, our schedule was so packed that we basically walked in to the MGM hotel on Sunday afternoon, and we didn’t step outside until Wed. morning when we headed to the airport.  Insane!  Right?!  But seriously, what a blast too!

Monday morning started with an interview with Tamara Lackey for her online show, reDefine!  If you go to her reDefine website, you’ll see an interview recently posted with Brian Smith (fellow SONY Artisan)!

This was my first time to meet Tamara, and she is HILARIOUS!  I can see why people love her show so much! Thank you Tamara for inviting me to your show, I had a BLAST!  And it’s about time we finally met!  There will also be an interview with Dane Sanders from WPPI.  Stay tuned!

Here are a handful of images from the WPPI week.  I want to thank SONY for being an amazing sponsor and partner.  For some reason, the tradeshow guide listed Fujifilm as my sponsor.  And I’m sure they are great, but that was a misprint.  SONY is the one who has supported me to reach women for over four years.  And to them, I am continuously grateful.

A big thank you to all the people who came and watched my shooting demos and listened to talks all week at the SONY booth!

I love having babies and toddlers come for my shooting demos because you all get to see how hairy and fast pace these shoots are for me too!

This little one was DARLING!!!

Little tricky answering questions and keeping a toddler engaged for a photo shoot!  🙂

That’s when we bring out the Bubble Machine!

Teaching and shooting at the same time.  Two things I LOVE to do!  🙂

Having a husband to take Behind the Scene photos is the best!  🙂

A HUGE thank you to everyone who got up and came to my 8am platform on Social Media!  It was standing room only, and I am so honored to have had that time with you.  Did we get your business card that morning?  If not, please email your info to info@fioria.us.  We want to send you all the notes and a bunch of more social media tips!

(thanks to Zach and Jody for this fun shot!)

I LOVED seeing lots of mamas with their babies at WPPI this year!  Three cheers for mamas with cameras!!!!

Brian and I finally got to sit down with the AWE-mazing Zach and Jody Gray.  Their story is incredibly moving, their photography is outstanding, and wow, what a transparent, precious couple!

Now I know I took a lot more pictures with a bunch of you!  And you all promised me that you’d share them with me!  I would love to see them!  Will you post them on my Facebook Page!

Tomorrow the blog heads to Blissdom in TN for a fun photo recap of mommy bloggers who ROCK!

xo,

m

p.s.  Did you attend WPPI this year?  What did you think?

I would love to know what you thought of WPPI this year.  I got to connect with a handful of you, and it was powerful to hear your experience (good and bad).  Can you leave me a comment and tell me what about your experience?  Was it your first year?  What were the pluses and negatives?  Also, if you were a mom with a baby, did you feel supported and welcome?  Did you run into any issues with having a baby and stroller?  You can also email me your feedback too! info@fioria.us
