I’ve got to share a favorite quote to share with you because it totally makes me think of all of you!
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. -Marcel Proust
Without knowing how else to put it, you have all made my heart so happy, my heart has blossomed into the Butchart Gardens from the love you’ve shared this last week!
On top of all the kind emails and posts on the blog, Carrie of Barefoot Memories sent this beautiful basket of hydrangeas from San Diego! Rachel LaCour sent the biggest bunch of yellow lilies from Tennessee. My brother came up from CA to see me, my other brother is making me soup tonight. The awesome Dane Sanders was up from LA to shoot a wedding, so he came over Friday night and teased Brian so much I almost wet my pants from laughing! (My favorite was the idea to have a website named, www.merakoh’s_husband.com. Brian totally doesn’t get the credit he deserves for our business!)
Our mysterious friends Chaka Kahn, actually got a babysitter for their 4 boys to come over and surprise us by making dinner and bringing dessert! The kid’s school dropped off a get well basket with O, a Life magazine of beautiful photos, cookies, sparking cider, fruit (I’m set!), a couple girlfriends stopped by to keep me company, my Korean aunt made a big pot of Kalbi-ton and homemade Mu-Chae to go with it! (and Dane ventured into sharing it with us! Totally brave guy, and he loved it!), my mom has helped so much with the kids, our neighbors have brought the best meals, and honestly I could go on and on!
If I would have known recovery from surgery was going to be this great, I wouldn’t have stressed so hard! The surgery itself was a success! When the surgeon got inside, they found I actually had three growths instead of one, and they saw that my ovary was really beat up from previous surgeries. That put Brian and I at ease, knowing we had definitely made the right choice.
So Friday night, Dane got me all excited to start doing video podcasts again. We have some fun surprises coming for all of you, and he’s got something SUPER cool in the works called CutFrame (more later!). But you may be wondering why I stopped the video podcasts a couple months ago.
Confession time…
I’m so happy everything turned out OK! God is so good!!!
Nikon sent you a camera. I think we could turn that around on Canon somehow and get you a new one for your video podcats??? I’m actually glad that you and Brian fight too. Makes me feel more secure in my own relationship — though no throwing things yet. LOL
You should feel secure for sure! π Twelve years of counseling, and I still get caught throwing my purse! π But the making up is pretty great too! LOL!
Okay… I’m having a hard time breathing right now. That confession was too funny! So, something I’d do! Don’t you hate that! Thanks for sharing! Now I don’t feel so alone! ;-)My DH is more passive and I’m a loud Portuguese girl… our fights are funny!
I love your blog and I am so glad your feeling better! I’ve been praying for you all!
I’m so glad you found it funny Sharon! Not many people are posting on this blog today, it’s started to worry me that I may have shared just a bit too much this time. π
Brian thinks it’s the Korean blood running through me. I think he’s right. π I’m only half, and I must have got that fiery half. π Don’t be fooled by how sweet Korean women seem, ooooh, we have tempers. π Thankfully the kids think we’re hilarious and tell ALL the friends and teachers about how we fight. π
Don’t worry Mera you didn’t share too much information. It made me laugh. The post was great! I feel much more normal :). My kids like to share information as well. We have to fight in code or spell everything :). Glad you’re feeling better.
Yea!! So glad you are feeling better!!! Which obviously is evidenced by this video confession LOL!!
Dane certainly has a way of pulling some interesting information out of people on video π
Glad to see you laughing and carrying on though! Hello to Brian and the kids…
Too bad that the era of film has passed. I’ve “heard” that film canisters make a nice projectile to throw at one’s husband (or just in his general direction)…. … plus, they are much easier on the budget! π
They say “confession is good for the soul” and “laughter is the best medicine.” Glad you’re feeling better!
I love you guys!
So fun the other night. Brian rules. The soup was awesome. The dreaming was ridiculous and absolutely must be done. I’m seriously giddy at what’s coming.
By the way, I just want to assert that I think I may be your (plural) biggest fan … and apparently that’s saying a lot. Let’s start a movement …
Koh Nation!
You are hilarious Dane! You would have died laughing tonight. Raya and Forest were here, and we did a picture together and Raya said something like “You’d think we should be able to do this with 2 photographers.” Then she looked at Brian and said, “Oh, sorry Brian. I mean 3 photographers.”
Not his week! π
Been telling eveyone about your new site coming! Can’t wait for it to go live! Going to be crazy! π
Loved your confession! It is always good to be able to look back and laugh at the situation. Thanks for sharing and glad you are feeling better. Amanda from Texas
I’ve been away for a few days so this is my first look at your confession. I laughed out loud! What a riot! Reminds me of a few years ago when my hubby and I had a similar fight but he threw a Costco size jug of Tide liquid detergent on the ground for effect. BAD idea. It exploded out the side, turning ME into a BLUE SMURF and then you just heard this sickening “glug, glug, glug” as what was left was seeping out into our carpet while we were both frozen in stunned silence. It’s become a story of great humor to us now. I’m glad to see that you are human too. AND I’m glad to see that you are better. Blessings to you.
I love that Brian is playing straight man in the background!
That was hilarious! You guys are such a trip!
