Peppermint Eases Motion Sickness, Muscle Tension and Wakes You Up

essential oil for traveling

I am notorious for motion sickness, especially in cars and boats.  My old protocol was to try and fall asleep as fast as possible.  But then I started using Peppermint essential oil.  I rub a couple drops behind my ears, around my hairline and on my stomach.  VOILA! It’s so good to have now, specially since we were able to get a car with the insurance 4 motor trade, we will be traveling pretty often now.

Peppermint oil is our new version of the Costco size bottle of Advil!  Whenever we have a headache, boy…we rub one drop in between our hands and inhale it for a WOOOOSH clearing of the head.  If you use it, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!  The stuffiest nose during cold season doesn’t have a chance with Peppermint Oil.  Peppermint oil relieves headaches, but it also relieves joint pain.  After a long photo shoot or couple hours of writing, my wrists are often sore.  I’ll rub Peppermint oil on my wrists and feel relief within minutes.  This potent oil also energizes your mind.  You can add a drop to your shampoo to vitalize your scalp and turn your brain on.  If my mind is wandering during the work or school day, I inhale peppermint.  BAM!  I’m back!  LOL!  Check out this great post on 25 Peppermint Oil Uses!
