i stayed in a community house last night where nine other people live
two of them are producers and have recently finished a film on global warming- and they have won Emmy’s
one woman is a strip dancer, yep, you heard me. she isn’t stripping in clubs but she teaches women to strip so that they can find a beauty, freedom and empowerment in their own bodies. (not so they can work in clubs but just feel good about themselves) her heart is to empower women and after talking to her late last night, i went from total shock to complete respect for what this woman’s mission is
and funny coincidence but Loma (who I stayed with last night) owns the spas in all the resorts you guessed yesterday. what a small world, and she is another amazing woman that has blessed me beyond words
and then there’s genie who is my new Japanese american friend, but actually I’m adopting her as my big sister. she let me crash on her futon last night and stayed up way to late with me as we talked about how to take my business to the next level and beyond.
and then there are so many other women I want to introduce to you but the morning is already getting away from me
(love you brian, thank you for letting me go away this week, trusting my instincts even though we had no idea what i was getting into, and I can’t wait to kiss those kids tonight)

After four hours of sleep we still pulled it off! I came home Thursday night we did the laundry, repacked and got up early with the kids to catch our flight to San Diego. Phew!! That was quite the turn around, and we are sad b/c it’s raining. But we’re keeping our fingers crossed for fun and sun in the next few days.
Octave Ladies, I miss you all so much! And I can’t wait till fill in our blog readers on what we did together this last week!

I just have to write you a huge thank you!!!! I am 25, a mommy and a starter in the photography business and your tipps and advices just took my photography to the next level.. i was stuck for month’s now.. trying to find a new way of shooting and seeing my world thru the lens. And than i found your blog and i started reading and studying your tipps “GOSH” did they helped me! Yesterday evening i went and made a little shooting with my daugther and husband i saw a whole different world when i looked thru my lens! THANK you so so much and please continue to post tipps and product advices! Your article about the Canon Cameras was exactly what i was looking for. Cause i couldn’t decide on buying me a new Canon DSLR or not and when yes, which one! And now i know, thanks to your article! Guess i gonna go with the D30 or 40!
So i just can’t tell you often enough how thankful i am!
I just hope that someday i will be able to afford one of your workshops or you maybe start to give some in the midwest! Cause i am from Iowa and we are so lacking of good workshops here!
