How to Plan the Unforgettable Couples Getaway!

Me Ra Koh

Every marriage, no matter how long you’ve been married, needs the freedom to plan the unforgettable couples getaway.

I don’t know about you, but when the school year comes to an end there is so much focus on how to plan a great summer for the kids.  But hello!  What about us parents?!  We need a vacation too (that doesn’t involve the kids).  Whether you have a tight or big budget being intentional with the precious time you have together is key.

Whether you long for a cozy hideaway along the Oregon Coast or need hot sun with foofy drinks next to the pool, magic will happen when you bring a few of my ideas in your back pocket!  (Hee!  Hee!)

Read my most recent Babble column; 11 Tips for Creating an Unforgettable Couples Getaway (with fun photos as we go! :)).

Time to nurture the relationship that means the most.

A an extra tip that I forgot to mention is to “Pack for Romance”.  🙂  If we are doing a road trip getaway, I LOVE to pack tea lights, votive holders, bubble bath, chocolate (with Sea Salt on top) and even wine glasses.  One of my favorite of the eleven I share is number seven.  It’s something Brian and I are working on.  Anyone else working on this particular tip too?  See my Babble column “11 Tips for an Unforgettable Couples Getaway”.)

Enjoy!

My husband and I are going on our second annual “without kids” trip to Las Vegas and I simply cannot wait. This year, with help from your article, I’ll be putting a bit more thought into it. We will be coming back from this magical weekend more than just well-slept. 🙂 We will have a mission for our marriage and our family. That’s now my mission for our weekend. As always, thanks for sharing Me Ra!

Yay Melanie!!! I’m so glad you liked the post!! Isn’t the mission statement the coolest idea! You’ll have to share with us how your trip goes! Las Vegas sunshine and beautiful pools sound really good right about now (as it rains outside my window!). 🙂
