Working with window light and shadows is like a dance. You watch where the light falls on your subjects, and then you adjust them until the light is highlighting exactly what you want to best tell your story. I love how we got the light to fall on dad’s face but also on baby too. Everything else goes dark around them because their connection is the only thing that matters in this moment. Instead of using a backdrop and studio lighting, we’re using shadows to create the mood. Click here for more examples of baby portraits using shadows and window light.
