Hey friends! This is Brian! I’m filling in today for Me Ra. She just wrapped up a full week of filming with Sony, and she is exhausted! But we are all excited for you to see what we’ve been up to. When Sony gives us the okay to “spill the beans”, we will! Thank you so much for keeping Me Ra in your prayers last week. Her voice hung in there, and even though the kids were throwing up before the filming and had fevers, Me Ra shined! However, she couldn’t talk on Saturday morning, but she made it through the end of Friday. 🙂 And she is SUPER thankful for all your support.
I took a bunch of Behind the Scenes photos that I thought you would have fun seeing. And FYI, Me Ra and Genie have tied up all the details for the Washington DC workshop! Me Ra will post all the details in depth tomorrow. In fact, Early Bird Registration will start tomorrow. But to give you a heads up, the workshop will be on the weekend of September 19th and 20th and located in the heart of DC with a freaking AMAZING hotel discount!
Okay, check out the Behind the Scenes action! So proud of her!
Me Ra was working with a Director who coached her acting, a Director of Photography who oversaw ALL the lighting (and he had a crew of a dozen men), and then there was the Audio guy, the TelePrompter guy, the Assistant Director, the Sony Director, the Producer, the Props guy, the Artistic Director–it was INTENSE!
Me Ra said that when she got nervous and I wasn’t able to be on the set then she would close her eyes and think of all of you.

This guy’s name was also Brian. He was in charge of all the props that Me Ra requested from kites to mixing bowls and kitchen towels to streamers to beach blankets to red balloons. I think Me Ra had a blast with two dozen people asking her…”Mrs. Koh, is there any thing else we can get you?” 🙂
At the last minute, Sony asked if they could cast our kids for a couple scenes in the project. Both Me Ra and the kids were pretty excited to work together!
New shooting location! We loved this spot too!
One of the Sony Directors and the head Producer watching and listening to all audio. If Me Ra pronounced a word wrong or tripped on words, they would catch it and start back from the top. (No Messing Around!)
But don’t think that Me Ra didn’t LOVE every minute of this–the pressure and all. I definitely think she was born for this type of thing–and I wouldn’t be surprised if she finds a way to get that TV show after all.
She’s my beauty, and I’m super proud of her! Thanks to Sony for the honor of working on this amazing project! And thanks to an AMAZING production crew! We ALL had a blast!
