We got the email yesterday that the BIGGEST conference of the year for Wedding and Portrait Photographers (WPPI) has gone live with registration for February 2009! WPPI had over 10K photographers attend it’s conference in Vegas last year. I’m sure it will be even bigger in 2009! If you haven’t been, it’s worth considering.
At the end of the day, I checked out the WPPI web page to make sure our workshop was live on the website with all the details in place. And WOAZER!! This is what I found! It is already SOLD OUT!

If you didn’t get into the class, we have given the green light on being a part of their “Meet the Speakers” event the following day, Tuesday from 3:30-6pm. I’m not sure where the location will be, but keep a look out. We would love to meet you on Tuesday if not Monday. I’m sure Rangefinder magazine will have something soon. And if you don’t subscribe to Rangefinder magazine, you must. It’s a must in the industry, whether your a beginner or superhero advanced.
Thanks to all of you who registered so fast! That definitely gave us warm fuzzies for the day!

The Five Finalists for the PET PHOTO CONTEST go live tomorrow morning!!
Tomorrow you will get to meet FIVE super sweet pets!
We’ll also do our Random Voter Awards with this contest too. Another copy of Lightroom will go out to a Random Voter if we get over 500 votes on the Pet Contest! Yep, that’s 500! Be prepared to come back and vote with all your friends. Who knows, you may win Lightroom from it! 🙂

kewllllllllll i was wondering about the lovely pets! lol I’m still digging deeper about my object before i email any pictures. This is the time where i wish i had a macro lens…cause the objects i have are kinda SMALL. tee hee hee.

Some of us San Diego Workshop girls will be getting together at WPPI AND I will be turning 30! I am sure you two are busy, but maybe we can have a dinner or a drink or something!
Wow! It doens’t surprise me that you sold out. I was at your mini version at Partner Con and it was wonderful! This is something that I struggle with so much. I wasn’t fast enough and missed the registration. I wanted to go so bad! This may be a stretch, but if you need any help handing out prizes or selling dvd’s in the back at the end of your class, I would love to do it if that means I can stand in the back during the class.

A DVD around this topic? What a cool idea! So you mean, have someone come and film the session so you can get a copy? I wonder if we could do that? Or we could even just make it a download…hmmm….I’ll be asking you all for your thoughts on this more!

It’s one of my *biggest* struggles when working with familes and couples. (Kids? No problem. It’s those stinkin’ grown-ups that cause all the trouble!)
A download option would be awesome.

That’s so awesome Me Ra! I didn’t even know WPPI registration had opened. You two are awesome! Now I’m DOUBLY SAD I didn’t go to your presentation at PartnerCon…and won’t be able to at WPPI. I hope all the logistics work out so I can go to WPPI – and hang out with you guys!
