30 Portraits of Babies Using Window Light and Shadows

Allow for Uneven Light

Look what happens when we did this set up.  We put baby on a table top and had mom turn her face away from the window.  L.O.V.E!!!  On a side note, see the white light shining back at us in the center of baby’s eyes.  That’s what we call “catch light”.  It’s beautiful and adds more depth to the subject’s eyes. Mom doesn’t have it because she’s turned away from the light, but that’s okay.  Shadows on her draw us in even more.
